I admit it's like piracy, but I believe I can make the claim that I'm being paid for the *distribution* of the software as I'm selling per disk set.

Be extremely careful to clearly state that you are distributing software
that is otherwise available for people to acquire on their own.

You can add enhancements like installation systems, documentation,
desktop icons, etc. But all of that should be a nominal charge.

DO NOT TRY TO MAKE MONEY off of the software that you are "distributing".

Abandonware is somewhat of a grey market. But not all of it is truly
abandoned. I think I saw some titles that 3D Realms, the IP owner of
older Apogee games, is currently selling on GOG and a few other places
for a nominal price. Thus it's not actually abandoned, even though it
is from the time frame that has a lot of abandoned software.
