I just found the DMF program in an archive I recently downloaded from the internet and want to install it on a Win98SE computer. Before I install it, is it compatible with Windows 98 SE? I don't want to screw up the computer.

It depends on what you meant by DMF.

It is a floppy drive capacity enhancer.

I think the floppy format which is used by that tool is Windows 95's DMF
floppy format. DMF is readable on Windows 98. WinImage's author states that
it's readable & writable in Windows 95/98/Me and Windows NT/2000/XP/2003.

There's no mention about Vista and newer versions, but I believe they all
can still read/write DMF.
